Walking among the trees, listening to the sounds of nature, and observing the complexity of life unfolding around me is a reminder of why I do this work.
It doesn't matter if you are passionate about trekking, photography or simply curious: the Highlands have something to offer everyone. And who knows, maybe you too will find yourself peering into the waters of Loch Ness...
Knowing that every day I can make a difference, bring someone home, is what motivates me to continue, even in the most difficult moments.
That day in Iceland left me with a simple but powerful lesson: sometimes, you just need to slow down to appreciate your surroundings.
As we walked the last stretch home, I realized that that remote valley had taught me something important: freedom.
I turn for a last look at the Alpe di Siusi: the snow-covered landscape seems to greet me, as if it knows that I will return. And deep down I know it too: the mountain is not just a place, it is a call, a refuge, a silent teacher.
When I think of water, I don't just see a resource: I see life itself. Every drop we conserve, every solution we find to address drought, is a step towards a more resilient world.
Sailing on the Amazon River was like entering another world: the dark brown water stretched as far as the eye could see, framed by trees so thick they seemed impenetrable.
This is the story of my excursion along the Alta Via 1 of the Dolomites, a route through breathtaking landscapes, unexpected challenges and life lessons.
