FIVE FRIENDS, RARELY STILL

Before there was a company, there were five friends who had a hard time staying in one place. We ran, skied, hiked, traveled, got lost, changed plans, took the long way around and usually came back with another story to tell. Sport was part of it, but so was everything around it: the cold mornings, the long days outside, the wind, the salt, the heat, the dirt and the places that made us want to go farther.

THE OUTSIDE WAS OUR COMMON GROUND

Some trips were planned. Others were not. Mountains in winter, coastlines in summer, trails, rocks, forests, cities and places far from home all became part of the same way of living. We learned to think about what we wore, what we packed, what we ate and what the next environment would demand from us. The more time we spent outside, the more attention we paid to every part of our setup.

Except one.

Our skin.

A NAME MADE FROM ALL FIVE OF US

Alokitina came before the business plan. The name grew out of the nicknames we had been calling one another for years: Arco, Lobo, Kiko, Tima and Nas. Pieces and sounds from all five were rearranged and combined into one word.

alokitina

It was unusual, personal and difficult to separate from the five people behind it. Exactly what we wanted. What started as a name between friends would eventually become the name of everything we were building together.

SOMETHING WAS MISSING

We had technical clothing for different temperatures. Different shoes for different terrain. Equipment for snow, water, rock and heat. We thought about nutrition, hydration and recovery. Yet when it came to skin, the answer was usually the same product designed for everyday life—used in environments that were anything but everyday.

That contradiction kept following us around.

And eventually, we decided to do something about it.

IT STARTED WITH ONE BETAZIL

The first step was deliberately simple. We did not begin with five collections and dozens of products. We started in Italy with Betazil: one product built around a need we understood firsthand.

The goal was not to create another elaborate beauty routine. We wanted something functional. Something easy to carry. Something we would actually put in a backpack, sports bag or jacket pocket and use when conditions became uncomfortable.

That first Betazil became our starting point.

FROM AN IDEA TO A FORMULA

Turning that idea into a real product meant leaving instinct behind and getting serious about formulation. We worked through ingredients, textures, prototypes and revisions, combining cosmetic expertise with the practical requirements we had collected outside.

Some versions were wrong. Some felt wrong. Others made sense on paper but less sense once we started using them.

So we kept changing them.

That process became part of the Alokitina method: build with a purpose, use it in the real world, learn from it, then build it better.

THEN WE KEPT MOVING

Betazil did not make us spend less time outside. If anything, it gave us another reason to pay attention.

We took it with us. We used it. Friends used it. Athletes tried it. We listened, changed things and kept traveling.

And the more environments we moved through, the more obvious something became: the problem was bigger than the first product we had created.

Skin does not experience “the outdoors” as one single condition.

THE WORLD DOESN'T FEEL THE SAME EVERYWHERE

Cold mountain air is not ocean wind. Salt is not dry heat. Humidity is not altitude. A day on snow asks something different from your skin than a day on a tropical trail, an exposed coastline or a dry summer landscape.

Once we saw that clearly, a universal approach stopped making sense to us.

Instead of asking how to make one product work everywhere, we started asking a different question:

What would we build if we started with the environment first?

ONE PRODUCT BECAME A SYSTEM

That question changed Alokitina.

The original idea expanded into five environments:

ALPINE
WILD
OCEAN
DESERT
TROPICAL

And within them came different formats with different jobs: creams for versatile application, gels for targeted areas, balms for precise use, and Alpha X55 for the moments that come after the activity.

We were no longer building a single cosmetic product.

We were building a system for life outside.

FIVE ENVIRONMENTS. ONE ALOKITINA.

Today, Alpine, Wild, Ocean, Desert and Tropical represent five different sides of the same world.

Alpine is shaped by cold, wind and mountain conditions. Ocean lives around salt, water and exposed coastlines. Desert starts with heat and dryness. Tropical takes on hot, humid environments. Wild covers the less predictable territory between them: trails, forests, rocks, countryside and summer mountains.

Different places. Different demands. One way of thinking.

COSMETICS FOR ATHLETES.

Eventually, we found the simplest way to describe what we were trying to build.

Cosmetics for Athletes.

Not cosmetics made exclusively for professionals. Not traditional beauty products photographed next to a pair of running shoes.

Products created for people who move, train, travel and spend time outside—from elite competition to a weekend on the mountain, a day in the water or the next place you decide to explore.

Because being an athlete, to us, has never been about a title. It is about movement.

THIS IS STILL THE BEGINNING

Alokitina began in Italy with five friends and one product.

Today, we are building something much larger: more formulas, more environments, more athletes, more stories and a brand designed to travel far beyond where it started.

There are still places we have not been. Conditions we have not designed for. Problems we have not solved.

Good.

We never wanted Alokitina to stand still.
